Lisa Unruh: Finding ‘Magic In The Margin’ after a 30-year career | 2
Jul 14, 2025For the first guest episode on “According To Who?” I knew I wanted to bring on someone you’d find hugely inspirational – and who better than the woman who supports me every day – my Online Business Manager, Lisa Unruh.
Lisa, who spent 24 years in the non-profit sector and 30 years total across all her roles, made the bold decision to leap into entrepreneurship without a plan and started up her wildly successful Operational Business Support company ~ Your Fractional OBM using her extensive knowledge, wisdom, leadership and administrative expertise.
In this episode, she shares with me her story of searching for meaningful, impactful work that’s completely aligned to who she is and her quest to ensure her work is soul-fulfilling, not soul-sucking.
She shares her thought process from courageously booking the first solo trip she has taken since the age of 19, deciding that she is ready to go all in on working for herself, what it means to her to rewrite her rules of success and the most incredible discovery that came to her in England that has completely and beautifully changed her life in every possible way!
Lisa is a Leader, an Administration & Operations Guru and a true gem in every sense of the word! I’m sure you’ll love her as much as I do, and if you’d like to connect with her, you can find her links below.
In this episode, Lisa and I talk about:

- What making the leap without a plan actually looks like
- Letting go of “success rules” and building a business that’s aligned with who you are and how you want to live
